The Wilton Firefighters Association hosted its First Annual Chili Cook-Off and Classic Car Show in September 2000. Locals come out and battle each other over who has the best chili and classic car. The event also consists of local crafters, children's games, and live music. For the past two years, The WFA has been blessed to house its event at Fog Willow Pumpkin Farm where owner, Joe Coates has generously donated its facility for our fund-raising event. Proceeds of the 2012 Chili Cook Off benefited Dillard Elementary After School Programs and the Wilton 4H Group.
Every year, The Wilton Firefighters Association (WFA) teams with Firefighters Burn Institute and participate in its annual Boot Drive Event. Not only do Wilton Firefighters "shake their boot", they will wash your car.
Every year the Wilton Firefighter's Association (WFA) sell hot dogs and refreshments during the Memorial Day event at the Wilton Post Office. 100% of the proceeds go to the Wilton Memorial Rose Garden.
The Wilton Firefighters Association (WFA) was established in the early 1960's by three Wilton residents and former firefighters, Al Iaccopucci, Adolph Heim, and Hank Razano. With the morale and welfare of the Wilton community in mind, the founder's objectives for the Association were to promote and provide for the benefit and well-being of the Wilton Community. These objectives were accomplished through monthly Association breakfasts, annual Association dinners, monthly blood drives, and various fund-raisers to raise monies for local community organizations, the Firefighter's Burn Institute, and the Al Jones Memorial Scholarship Fund.
Now, nearly 50 years later, the Wilton Firefighters Association has over 60 active members, consisting of residential volunteer firefighters, paid shift volunteer firefighters, and lifetime members. Although many of the faces have changed, the integrity and objectives of the Association still remains the same.
The Wilton Firefighters Association provides residents with the standard reflective Numerical Sign so that public safety personnel can locate your residence quickly in the event of an emergency. These signs are reflective and come in either Green or Blue. Please complete the attached Address Request Form. Click on the link below.
Wilton Firefighters Association (WFA) has hosted one main event each year since September 2000, its Annual Chili Cook-Off and Classic Car Show. Throughout the years we have dabbled in a few other events, such as boot drives, car washes, family movie nights, pancake breakfasts, and a 5K run/walk. Each of these events raises monies to support local community organizations and families. We wish to thank all of our community members for supporting these fund-raisers. It would be impossible to do what we do for the community, without your support. The WFA would especially like to thank the following major sponsors for the 2012 Chili Cook-off and Classic Car Show:
Wilton Firefighter's Association (WFA) is also proud to have the following sponsors. Without their generous annual contributions to our Chili Cook-Off and Classic Car Show & other numerous fund-raising events, we would be unable to have such great success with this event. Thank you for all your continued support.
